A few weeks ago, I visited FareShare Leicester to meet Jonathan and Lynn, two dedicated volunteers working hard to support people across Leicester East, particularly in the Hamilton area.
It was inspiring to learn more about their important work redistributing surplus food, reducing waste and supporting local charities and community organisations.
Each week, FareShare helps more than 70 families and individuals in Hamilton, including people affected by mental health challenges and domestic abuse.
As the Member of Parliament for Leicester East, I would like to thank the entire FareShare team and all its volunteers for their commitment, compassion and valuable contribution to our community.
Their work makes a real difference every day.
